GARY PRZYBYLO SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Gary Przybylo and Basketball go hand in hand. While he attended Linton High School in Schenectady he was an All-American Basketball Player and was also named Schenectady County Player of the Year. After his graduation in 1968 he went on to Michigan State University where he continued his above average basketball skills.

From college he became an area coach at Bethlehem and Mohonasen Central High Schools. He brought many victories and titles for both teams. Fast Break established the Gary Przybylo Scholarship Fund in memory of Gary who died three years ago. All the money raised in Gary’s name will be given to send Schenectady youth to area basketball camps over the summer.

The Gary Przybylo Scholarship Fund was started in the Spring of 2002 and this first year over 25 Schenectady youth were sent to basketball camp over the summer. Not only did these camps help these well deserving youth improve on their basketball skills but it taught them life skills and showed them they were special.

"The Fast Break Fund is proud to be associated with the Przybylo family along with the rich basketball tradition in the city of Schenectady."

The Rensselaer Elks Disabled Basketball League

The Rensselaer Elks Disabled Basketball League gives disabled youth the chance to participate in the game of basketball. The league runs from November to the end of February.

Along with their regularly scheduled games on Saturday afternoons, they play during half time at the Siena College Games at the Pepsi, at Saint Rose College and at HVCC women’s games.

The Coach, Burke Adams was named one of ten "Most Caring Coaches" in the United States. Out of the ten winners, Mr. Adams was the only volunteer coach.
