History

The Fast Break Fund is a recognized 501C (3) that was founded in 1995 by Tony & Larry Hynes.  When the Hynes brothers were kids, they were able to attend summer camp because of the kindness of others.  They decided to return the favor and as a result, formed the Fast Break Fund with the primary mission of sending area youth to sports camps throughout the capital region.
The Fast Break Fund serves Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady, Rensselaer and the surrounding counties in New York's Capital Region.  The focus is on families with income levels under $25,000 with exceptions based on the number of children in the home and current circumstances.  Fast Break is equally supportive of both boys and girls ages 6 -17.  Fast Break kids are good kids who try in school and behave in a respectable manner.
